Gurudas Kamat unhappy with his removal from Gujarat affairs

It is being heard that Gurudas Kamat is not happy with his removal from the post of party in charge of Gurajat. He has reportedly resigned from all party posts in Congress. He has reported met Rahul Gandhi to offer his resignation.

He is a popular leader and has very wide mass base in Maharashtra.

Kamat  had requested Rahul Gandhi to relieve him from all responsibilities on February 3, the day Congress candidates were announced for the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation elections.He again  repeated his plea on February 21, the day of the BMC polling.

He said he had pursued his request with a letter to Gandhi after the BMC elections, in which the Congress was severely routed.

 

Gehlot has replaced Gurudas Kamat ,from Maharashtra, who has handled the party’s affairs in Gujarat till date. Kamat seems to be occupied with the internal problems within the party in Maharashtra, as  the Congress’ debacle in state civic polls has caused much heart burn.

The Indian National Congress   has appointed former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot as its general secretary in-charge for Gujarat, in its prepration for  assembly polls later this year. Congress in hopping to revive fortune in Gujarat as BJP is rulling in the state since long. There is no other political party to play spoil sports for Congress.
