New Delhi: The Indian National Congress has appointed former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot as its general secretary in-charge for Gujarat, in its prepration for assembly polls later this year. Congress in hopping to revive fortune in Gujarat as BJP is rulling in the state since long. There is no other political party to play spoil sports for Congress.
Gehlot has replaced Gurudas Kamat ,from Maharashtra, who has handled the party’s affairs in Gujarat till date. Kamat seems to be occupied with the internal problems within the party in Maharashtra, as the Congress’ debacle in state civic polls has caused much heart burn.
